Brian "Mac" McMahon

Welcome to Replay: Chief Pickleball Officer

Brian “Mac” McMahon, MSED, CCDC I, PPR National Clinician, and former Lead Pro at Life Time Palm Beach Gardens is excited to be named the Executive CPO at Replay Sports and Social in Boynton Beach, Florida in the spring of 2024. He's a Joola Sponsored Certified Pickleball Professional and previously served as the National Chair of the Pickleball Programming Committee for all Life Time clubs. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and coaching endorsement from Indiana Wesleyan University, as well as a Master's Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, he brings a wealth of expertise. McMahon is also a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor at the I level.

Last October, he was inducted into the Collegiate Hall of Fame for his collegiate coaching career. His athletic background includes competing at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels internationally. With 26 years of experience as a university coach for both men's and women's teams, he has won numerous accolades, including the National Coach of the Year award twice and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Coach of the Year, along with winning a National Championship in men’s soccer at Belhaven University in 2012.

Throughout his coaching career spanning 28 years at club, high school, and university levels, McMahon amassed over 366 collegiate wins. He's also been a professor in Sports Psychology at the university level for two decades and a keynote speaker on motivation and sport psychology at various conferences nationwide. In addition to his coaching and academic roles in soccer and pickleball, McMahon has a background as a former Tennis and Racquetball tournament level player.

In Pickleball, McMahon's achievements are equally impressive. He's a US Open Pickleball Gold Medal Champion in mixed doubles, as well as a regional men's doubles champion. He's qualified for the Indian Wells Pickleball Championships as a "Golden Ticket Winner" and has medaled in over a dozen Pickleball Tournaments across the country. As a Professional Pickleball Registry Certified Professional, he shares his expertise by putting on clinics for potential pros and coaches as a National Clinician for the PPR.

McMahon's involvement in sports administration has also included serving as a board member at the local "Pickleball Athletic Club" and being nominated and elected to five NCAA national committees. He's held numerous prestigious roles such as the NCAA National Chair, NCAA National Rules Infraction Committee Chair, and NCAA National Championship Committee National Chair, demonstrating his leadership and expertise in collegiate sports governance. Additionally, McMahon has been nominated and elected twice as a NCAA National Coaches Chair and has been a Keynote Speaker across the country in sports motivation and psychology.
